Common questions and answers
Aworie offers evidence-based care, measurement-based treatments, and caring support for every client we serve.
What concerns can individual therapy help with?
Individual therapy can support concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, burnout, stress, ADHD-related challenges, relationship patterns, identity questions, work difficulties, and major life transitions. Your therapist will assess whether individual psychotherapy is appropriate for your needs and may recommend additional supports when needed.
How long does individual therapy take?
The length of therapy depends on your goals, the complexity of your concerns, your preferences, and practical factors such as scheduling or benefit coverage. Some people seek short-term support for a specific issue, while others choose longer-term therapy for deeper or ongoing patterns.
Is individual psychotherapy available in person and online?
Availability depends on the clinician, but Aworie offers in-person therapy at its Toronto locations and virtual psychotherapy options for eligible clients in Ontario. You can discuss your preference for Moss Park, Liberty Village, virtual care, or a blended format during your consultation.
Can I use private insurance for individual psychotherapy?
Many extended health plans reimburse psychotherapy provided by certain regulated professionals, such as Registered Psychotherapists, Registered Social Workers, or Psychologists. Check your plan for eligible provider types, coverage limits, referral requirements, and reimbursement steps.
