Biography

Everyone experiences points in their lives where they feel overwhelmed and lost. Everyday stressors and traumatic experiences make giving up seem like the best option. I am here to tell you that you are not alone. My name is Priscilla Ocran and I am a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist. I have my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto specializing in mental health. I have several years of experience helping people process and work through challenging life experiences.

I see my clients as experts in their lives, which allows me to work in collaboration with my clients as we work towards their desired outcomes/goals. I offer services addressing topics related but not limited to anxiety, depression, anger management, stress, relationship and family issues, trauma, racism/discrimination, self-esteem and co-dependency.

I work from a person-centred, holistic lens and I incorporate a variety of different therapeutic approaches in my work such as Emotion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy and Trauma Informed Care. Finding help and unlearning and relearning new tools to help you better navigate your life is not easy, but you have taken the first important step by beginning to look. Let me assist you on this journey to make it as comfortable as possible for you.
